Reiki Course Details

Reiki First & Second Degree

Note:Those of you who have visited this site before will be aware that in the past I always gave students the option of receiving their tuition on a one to one basis. However, over time I found that increasing numbers of students were asking me to train them with a friend or partner. I also had other students who simply did not want to come on their own so would ask if I could arrange for another student to share the day.

Following our 2004 annual summer holiday I was literally inundated with requests for training. There were only so many days in a week and to meet the needs of all those who wanted training I began to ask students to share the day with another person.

I must say how surprised I was at how many of these students wrote to me later saying how pleased they were that I'd asked them to share their day with someone else. Many had kept in touch with their fellow student even though in some cases they lived some distance apart. One student told me that her initial reaction, when asked to share was one of reluctance, but now, having shared the experience with another person, was glad she'd agreed. I then started to ask my students whether they thought that a maximum number of four people would dramatically change the feeling of 'cosiness' during the session and detract from the personal attention they'd received from me. The overall impression was that it would not.

I have therefore decided to increase the numbers of participants on all my courses to a maximum of four.

You will find the dates of these courses below. However, if you cannot make any of the dates below and you are available duuring a weekday please contact me and I will do my best to arrange another course on a day to suit you.

Reiki First Degree (Shoden) £95. Please click here for dates of courses.

By the end of the course students will:

• Have received three attunements to the Reiki energies.
• Know a little of the history of Usui, how he 'discovered' and taught, Reiki.
• Be aware of the Reiki principles and how they can be used in your life.
• Have an understanding of the Reiki energy and how it can be used.
• Know the basics of the Reiki hand positions.
• Be aware of what 'Using Your Intuition' means.
• Know two ways how to Self Heal.
• Be able to give a Reiki Treatment to friends and family.
• Have an understanding of the Reiki Ethics.
• Have an understanding of the value of Meditation and knowledge of Mikao Usui's Energy Exercises.

Students will be able to watch a demonstration of a Reiki treatment and will be able to practise giving Reiki to another student. A comprehensive Manual is provided which includes a five-week homework plan: "Getting Started with Reiki".

A Certificate is provided upon successful completion of the Course.

Requirements for First Degree Certificate:

• Attendance and participation on the course.

By the end of the course students will:

• Have received a Western Style Attunement for Reiki 2nd Degree.
• Have received a Japanese Empowerment.
• Know how to use the Reiki Symbols.
• Know how to send a Distance Treatment.
• Have an understanding of intuitive techniques used by Usui (Reiji Ho).
• Be aware of the Power of Intent.
• Understand how Usui used his eyes and breath to focus the energy. (Gyoshi Ho & Koki Ho)
• Know how to 'Radiate' and 'Beam' energy.
• Know more about Reiki Ethics, The Law, Insurance, and other matters regarding Private Practice.

Students will have the opportunity to practise a 'Hands On', and 'Distance Healing' approach, using their Intuition combined with the additional power of the Reiki Symbols. A comprehensive Manual is provided which includes a seven-week homework plan: "Developing your Reiki Intuition".

A Certificate is provided upon successful completion of the Course.

Requirements for Second Degree Certificate:

• Certificate in Reiki First Degree.
• Attendance and participation on the course.

Reiki Master/Teacher Level

A one day course. Cost £250 (£5 Discount for students who took Reiki 1st and 2nd Degree with me)..

This is a one-day course, which is followed by a five-week home study programme. Full support from Eileen is offered, both during your home study programme and beyond.

A comprehensive Master/Teacher manual is provided to every student. Students who have not studied with Tranquil Spirit before are provided with Reiki 1st and 2nd Degree manuals as well.

By the end of the course students will:

• Have received two further attunements to Master Level.
• Know how attunements work.
• Know how to give a Western Attunement at all levels.
• Know how to give a Japanese Empowerment.
• Have information on various styles of Attunement Methods.
• Have the opportunity to practice giving an Attunement.
• Be aware of the Principles of Teaching Others.
• Be aware of further Ethical Matters.
• Have an awareness of the forthcoming 'Self Regulations' and The National Professional Standards.
• A Master/Teacher Certificate is provided on the day of the course following evaluation.
• A further certificate, showing that you have completed the home study material, is offered at the end of the programme

Many of you who are considering taking this course will already be aware of the National Occupation Standards for Reiki and the Voluntary Self -Regulation programme which is due to come into affect for Reiki in the very near future. The details for Reiki Practitioner Registration are not yet finalised; however, we can be reasonably sure that all Reiki Practitioners and Teachers will need to demonstrate their ongoing professional development (otherwise known as CPD) and this will be required for registration. Your second certificate will show that you have completed the home study element of the course and could, providing you can also demonstrate what you've learnt from the training, be included as part of your CPD.

The Master/Teacher manual contains all the information you need to pass an attunement to others. It offers many techniques to help you teach in a professional way and there is a section to assist further with the development of your own healing practice. Each manual contains two self-help guides as well as additional information on the following:

• How to initiate a student to the Reiki energy. Step by step details are included.
• Self-help guide: 'Developing your Reiki Intuition Further'. This guide will help you to further enhance your own healing ability following your Master Initiation. You can then pass on this knowledge to your students by using the exercises provided.
• Self-help guide: 'Directing Reiki Using Intent'. You will learn more about the power of Intent and how to practice this art effectively. You can then pass on this knowledge to your students by using the exercises provided.
• Guidance is offered when teaching Reiki over one or two days and samples of course programmes, meditations etc are included.
• The manual contains a complete guide to enable you to teach students through weekly classes. All the materials you need, including copies for handouts, are provided.

Requirements for Master/Teacher Level Certificate:

• Production of Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates.
• Attendance and participation on the course.

After I have confirmed that a place is available I will hold your place for 5 days pending receipt of your deposit. Your place on a course will be confirmed when I receive your booking deposit of £30 which is deductible from the total cost of the course.

Unfortunately in the event of you cancelling your attendance (or rescheduling on the last minute) your deposit cannot be refunded.
