What is Reiki?

Reiki Practitioners are simply channels for the life force/earth energy. We are all made of this energy and use it all the time. However when we get tired or ill an additional boost of energy can help with our self-recovery. The Reiki Practitioner simply acts as a channel, offering the recipient additional energy to assist the self-healing process.

The most important quality a Reiki Practitioner needs is to care and it is this intent that counts most when channelling reiki.

Anyone who consciously sends out loving thoughts to another human being is sending out the healing energy. The term hands on healing is simply a more direct way to channel the life force energy and therefore the benefits to the recipient are usually stronger and can be more effective and can often be felt sooner.
